Diane-Laure Arjaliès

An ethnographer, I have been an Assistant Professor (interdisciplinary appointment) at the Ivey Business School, Western University (London, Canada) since 2015. I aim to push the boundaries of knowledge and practice by investigating how the fashioning of new devices and/or collective actions can help transform markets towards sustainability. Over the past years, I have studied the emergence of responsible investing, conservation finance, impact assessment, integrated reporting, and alternative currencies. I am currently working on 1) the rise of financial technologies (e.g. crypto assets, artificial intelligence, etc.) and their impacts on society and 2) the development of Indigenous forms of business and accounting that accommodate the spiritual and cultural beliefs of Aboriginal communities.

Fernanda Sauerbronn

Fernanda Sauerbronn is Associate Professor and currently coordinator of the Accounting Graduate Program at UFRJ. Being an economist from a political economy background, she holds a Ph.D. in Administration from FGV/EBAPE. She was a visiting researcher at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign with prof. Norman Denzin, in 2017, and is CNPq level 2 Researcher. She develops alternative studies on agency and governance within the public-private interface, critical epistemologies, and qualitative methodologies in accounting, having several scientific papers published in journals and conferences. She was elected to “Division Chair Track” (2018-2023) of the Academy of Management, Critical Management Studies division, also is member of the Editorial Board of Organization, QROM and Accounting History Review and former editor of Sociedade, Contabilidade e Gestão (SCG, Brazil).
