Les invitamos a participar en una sesión de panel sobre “La educación contable durante la pandemia: perspectivas de una crisis en curso para América Latina”. Este será un webinar virtual en

Este será un seminario web de seguimiento del brillante artículo “Insights into accounting education in a COVID-19 world” escrito por el profesor Greg Stoner, con el profesor Alan Sangster y la profesora Barbara Flood, que ha sido un éxito fenomenal, con casi 30 mil descargas. Ha sido premiado por la Asociación Americana de Contabilidad (AAA) con el Premio TLC a la Investigación Destacada en Educación Contable para 2021.

 

En este seminario web los autores de las contribuciones relativas a Argentina, Brasil, Colombia, Chile y México  este artículo sobre COVID-19 publicado en Accounting Education* serán panelistas, junto con el profesor Greg Stoner.

 

Ante la extensión de esta crisis, reflexionarán sobre las siguientes cuestiones: ¿Cuáles son nuestras experiencias? ¿De qué hemos aprendido?

 

Les invitamos a unirse a este debate, destinado a reflexionar sobre nuestras experiencias. La sesión tendrá un formato innovador llamado Pecha-Kucha (https://www.pechakucha.com/), a través del cual cada panelista compartirá sus puntos de vista. A continuación, se procederá a una reflexión en directo sobre la experiencia compartida de PK. A esta reflexión le seguirán las preguntas del público y las respuestas de los panelistas durante aproximadamente una hora. Concluiremos el panel con una ronda de observaciones finales de unos 30 minutos. En otras palabras, prevemos que la duración total del evento sea de 2h40min.

We are inviting you to participate in a panel session on “Accounting education during the pandemic: insights from an ongoing crisis for Latin America”. This will be a virtual webinar on

This will be a follow-up webinar to the brilliant paper ‘Insights into accounting education in a COVID-19 world’ authored by Professor Greg Stoner, with Professor Alan Sangster and Professor Barbara Flood, which has been a phenomenal success, with almost 30 thousand downloads. It has been awarded The American Accounting Association (AAA) TLC Outstanding Accounting Education Research Award for 2021.

 

In this webinars the authors of the contributions relating to Argentina, Brasil, Colombia, Chile, and Mexico to this COVID-19 paper published  in Accounting Education* will be panelists, together with Professor Greg Stoner.

 

In face of the extension of this crisis, they will reflect on the following  questions: What are our experiences? What have we learned from?

 

We invite you to join us in this discussion, aimed to reflect on our experiences! The session will have an innovative format called Pecha-Kucha (https://www.pechakucha.com/), through which each panellist will share his/her insights. After that, we will proceed with a live reflection on the shared PK experience. This reflection will be followed by questions from the audience and answers from the panellists for about 1 hour. We will conclude the panel with a round of closing remarks of about 30 minutes. In other words, we anticipate the total duration of the event to be 2h40min.

 

This will be our last QRCA Webinar for 2021, once we are preparing for the QRCA Conference and Graduate Consortium, in november. Do not miss this opportunity to participate and share your experiences!

This is an opportunity to join Paolo Ferri (Department of Management, Università degli Studi di Bologna, Bologna, Italy), Shannon I.L. Sidaway (Department of Accounting, RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia) and Garry D. Carnegie (Department of Accounting, RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia) as they discuss their latest article(short title): The paradox of accounting for cultural heritage.

 

This study is a major longitudinal study on the financial reporting of heritage assets of a selection of 16 major public, not-for-profit Australian cultural institutions examined over a period of almost three decades (1992–2019), with the purpose to understand how they have responded to the paradoxical tensions of heritage valuation for financial reporting purposes.
